the independent association of prep schools

ui/ux design

Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) were looking for a refresh of their old site. They also wanted to unify their IAPS Sports microsite with the rest of the site. The site was built out with full CRM abilities and PresideCMS, using a modular structure. Some of its more unique features include an events booking area, an IAPS member directory, a school directory with school news pages; where schools are able to upload their own content using Pressburst.

From an UX perspective, unifying the IAPS Sport site which had its own terminology and site structure as well event booking was fairly tricky as it meant two of everything- two directories, two listings and more! To avoid recurring issues with this, I unified the directories, and users can now search for terms in an unified search. Additionally, IAPS wanted to digitize their complex 4 form process, based on the Headmaster and the school’s membership status. I rewrote the form joining elements and used conditional content to better streamline a 32 page form into 6 pages.

The new design and modifications were very well received by IAPS, who are currently in the process of carrying out UAT with our developers. They commented that the whole site now feels more streamlined and that it’s easier to find the needed information.
